The first stop on this trip of mine was to visit my best friend from middle school in Arcata, CA. I spent almost an entire week here and it was well worth it. Not only was it nice to be able to just hang out with her since we don't see each other very often but we also got to do a lot of really fun things. We drove around town, met her friends, explored, and had her pup with us pretty much every step of the way. He had to wear a cone for the first few days so he wasn't too happy, but after that he was up for as much exploring as we were.
My favorite thing we did during this week was camp at the river near Big Bar. It was really pretty and no one else was camping near us.
